#ModestMonday Style Feature

 A few weeks ago, a lovely gal by the name of Keyshana from the Styles From Grace blog reached out to me to be featured on the #ModestMonday section of the site! Even though I love fashion, I guess I never looked at myself as a role model for modesty. Yet throughout the interview, I realized that modesty in how you dress is just a reflection of your character as a woman.

Sometimes, snatching a few items from your significant other's closet is the best way to reinvent your style--in my case, 

Kevin's retro graphic tee. Because I was recently laid-off and still have a wedding to pay for, 

my freedom to shop is at its all-time low. I guess this is when those styling skills come into play! 

Now that I'm thinking about it, this may be more of a fashion blessing than a curse, 

considering the fact that I have many--maybe too many--items in my wardrobe that have yet to be worn. 

So when you can't bring in the new, you've gotta work with the old! 

BETWEEN THE LINES

I am loving my new dress from Sugarlips Apparel! It is so versatile! Oddly, it is a maxi dress, but because of this ridiculous, sweltering heat, I had to revamp how to wear it so that it would be summer friendly. Even in the midst of the crazy weather, this lightweight dress did wonders in helping me to keep cool and still look more than decently fashionable!

Throughout the entire winter, I did nothing but complain about how lame the weather was. 

And now that summer is officially here, I don't want it to end! 

Although lately it's been ridiculously hot, 

I'm definitely loving all of the California sunshine! 

And it's days like this where denim cutoffs 

and a cool tee are all you really need.
